The terms that apply when you use AirConSurrey.co.uk and our free matching service. Last updated: August 2026.
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of AirConSurrey.co.uk (the "site") and the free matching service it provides. By using the site or submitting an enquiry, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. How we handle your personal data is covered separately in our Privacy Policy.
2. What our service is — and is not
Air Con Surrey is a matching service only. We pass your enquiry to vetted, F-Gas certified air conditioning engineers — directly or through partner networks — so they can quote for your work. We are not an installer, contractor, agent, or party to any work.
- We do not guarantee that any engineer will respond, that you will receive any particular number of quotes, or that an engineer will be available in your area or timescale.
- Any contract for survey, installation, servicing or repair work is formed directly between you and the engineer you choose. Their quote, terms, workmanship, guarantees and pricing are their responsibility, not ours.
- We are not a party to that contract and are not responsible for the performance, quality, safety or outcome of any work, or for any dispute between you and an engineer.
Vetting is a screening process based on the checks described on our About page; it is not a warranty of any engineer's work. You should satisfy yourself before hiring, including checking certification and insurance.
3. Information on the site
Guides, cost figures and other content on the site are provided for general information only. Prices are typical market ranges, not quotes, and can change. Content is not professional advice — always rely on a written quote and, where appropriate, professional advice specific to your property.
4. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that: the site and the matching service are provided free of charge and "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for loss or damage arising from your use of the site or the service, including loss arising from any contract you enter into with an engineer, any work carried out (or not carried out) by an engineer, reliance on information published on the site, or interruption or unavailability of the site. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of opportunity.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit enquiries that are false, misleading, or made on behalf of someone else without their permission;
- use the site to send spam, harvest data, or test automated tools;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, interfere with its operation, or scrape its content at scale;
- use the service for any unlawful purpose.
We may refuse, withdraw or block access to the service where we reasonably believe these terms are being broken.
6. Intellectual property
The content of the site — text, guides, graphics, infographics and the Air Con Surrey name and branding — is owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual property law. You may view, print and share individual pages for personal, non-commercial use with attribution. You may not republish, reproduce or commercially exploit site content without our prior written permission.
7. General
We may update these terms from time to time; the version published on this page applies at the time you use the site. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect. A delay in enforcing any provision is not a waiver of it.
Governing law: these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them — although if you are a consumer you may also benefit from mandatory protections of the law of the part of the UK where you live.
